It’s a hilarious tv program about some geeks and their funny social behaviours and I completely fell in love with the Aspergers character, Sheldon.
I felt an affinity with Sheldon. Being a bit of a geek myself, when I was younger, people would often think I was stupid if I didn’t get a joke – but when I deconstructed the joke logically for them and explained why I didn’t think this was funny, blank, despairing, or dismissive faces would just stare at me 🙂
…and then someone would break the silence by laughing and assuming I was just daft.
So Sheldon bless him, showed me it’s okay to be geeky and so Rachel Preece The Voice Geek was born and this unashamed geekiness, has enabled me to deconstruct, how a well educated, English speaking accent, is produced quickly and simply.
This makes it so easy for you to gain the knowledge – because you can make the sounds immediately.
Then of course there’s practice, but if you do, you succeed.
It’s a Quick Win, way of learning RP (received pronunciation), Elocution, Accent Softening, Accent Reduction, Neutral Accent etc…
..but me, being The Voice Geek, call it:
Optimising Your Ability To Communicate in English 🙂 🙂 🙂
…. and being taught in a scientific way, you only need to see and speak, not have a good ear, which is a life saver for most of you reading this, as listening alone is not enough, you need to know exactly what needs to be done inside your mouth.
It works! And it’s quick, because it’s logical.
Rachel Preece The Voice Geek 🙂
