Listening to well spoken English is essential for your progress, so I am sending you a link of a very interesting audio programme – all spoken in clear standard English – called Our Own Correspondent – a selection of audio articles submitted from BBC journalists working around the world. This an opportunity for you to listen to Clear Standard English whilst having an informative and interesting experience.
The vocal sounds that we hear, we reproduce, hence we speak with the same clarity and accent as those with whom we spend most of our time.
If your partner or colleagues do not have the accent you are aspiring to achieve, it is essential that you listen to the sounds that you really want to reproduce!
